Dream Factory- The Business Plan Competition @ SASTRA for Medical Technologies

Dream factory @ SASTRA University is a B plan event intended to focus the entrepreneur in the field and for the Biomedical & Healthcare as well . So those who are interetsed please read it carefully

Please note:

An idea/product/technology which evolves originality, cost-effectiveness, social benefit and the purpose will definitely be given more preference for selection of abstracts.

Executive report format:

The team has to submit a maximum of 6 page [excluding the cover page and Team description] executive report .pdf/.doc before. The Executive report should cover the following major aspects.

1. Introduction :
a) Brief Business idea
b) Innovation aspect
c) USP

2. Technology :
1.Description of your new Product / Process idea (in 10 sentences, please describe the Product / Process briefly; include the field of Application and the Market need addressed by it. Attach relevant documents or scanned copies of Drawings, if any)
2. Innovation in the Product / Process (describe how the idea is unique, technically different from the existing products / processes or how it improves an existing methodology/or how is it original or your contribution

3. Market Research and study:
Preliminary Study of Present Scenario, Their rivals, Present customer satisfaction, Customer Value, Market Size, Market Audience,The seven P’s, strategy, commercial value research

4. Model Analysis
a.) Feasibility report
b.) Profitability
c.) Generation of benefits for industry

5 Why will this Idea succeed? ( In 3 sentences, briefly explain the Technical feasibility and commercial prospects for this idea)

6. Why should you be the most suitable person to make this Idea succeed? (In 3 bullet points bring out your personal strengths and your degree of involvement in product/ process development, your experience / contacts in the field, etc)

Last date for submission of abstracts: 10th feb, 2011

Abstracts should be sent to envisage@daksh.sastra.edu with DREAM FACTORY as subject.

Selected participants will have the mentorship option.

The final presentation will have guidelines of IP rights regulations
