If you are a Bachelor or Master’s level student of physiology, medicine, sports science, Biomedical Engineering or any other life science related field, you are invited to apply for participation in Space Medicine 2011, a workshop organised by ESA’s Directorate of Human Space Flight.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to hear from the ESA Human Spaceflight Director, Simonetta di Pippo, listen to lectures from space physiology and space medicine experts and learn from the team that directly supports the health of European astronauts. The participation in practicals and demonstrations will also be part of the workshop programme.
Delegates will work on a project in a small group together with other students and present the results of this work to their colleagues and a panel of experts on the last day of the workshop. The experts will evaluate each group’s project work and an award will be presented to the best group.
Candidates interested in participating in the 2011 ESA Space Medicine Workshop should respond to one or two of the ‘Announcements of Opportunity’(AO).
Note, these are not official AOs, they are purely related to the workshop as an element of the workshop programme.
