PhD Position in Neuroscience in germany

Applications are invited for a PhD position in the Biological Psychology Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oldenburg, Germany (Prof. Christiane Thiel, Dr. Carsten Gießing). The department has a new research focus in cognitive neuroscience, and is one of the best equipped psychology departments in the country (3T MRI, EEG, TMS, eyetracking, NIRS and an MEG machine from the end of 2011).

We seek a talented and highly motivated candidate who has a strong
interest in statistical or mathematical data analyses and sensory or cognitive neuroscience. Good programming skills (e.g. MATLAB / R-statistics), knowledge in graph/network analysis, previous experience with fMRI data acquisition and analysis would be a strong advantage. The post holder will have responsibility for conducting and analyzing fMRI studies, and will work in collaboration with our project partners at the Behavioural & Clinical Neuroscience Institute, University of Cambridge (UK, Prof. Ed Bullmore) and the Jacobs University Bremen (Prof. Claus C. Hilgetag).

the intention of prolongation for a further year.
