International students are required to have an IELTS score of at least 6.5.
The ideal candidate will have a 1st Class Honours degree in a relevant scientific discipline in the chemical or physical sciences, which included electroanalytical chemistry or electrocatalytic materials science as part of the degree programme, or have a Masters qualification in one of these areas.
The candidate must also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Scholarship Description: The Studentship will be to develop novel electroanalytical interfacial materials for biosensor development:
-Investigate novel formulations of nanostructured materials for their enhanced electroanalytical capabilities
-Adapt these materials to be amenable to print production
-Develop enzyme-based biosensors using these printed materials
-Integrate the materials with other fabrication processes to produce functional devices

The Studentship is available immediately for a period of three years, subject to satisfactory progress, and includes a tax exempt stipend of £11,520 pa and £4,935 in fees (international students will be required to pay an additional £ 6,837 per academic year). International students are required to have an IELTS score of at least 6.5. The ideal candidate will have a 1st Class Honours degree in a relevant scientific discipline in the chemical or physical sciences, which included electroanalytical chemistry or electrocatalytic materials science as part of the degree programme, or have a Masters qualification in one of these areas. The student will also have an impeccable record of attainment at undergraduate level. Project-based experience in areas such as electroanalytical chemistry, sensors or biosensors at undergraduate or at taught/research Masters Degree level would be advantageous. The candidate must also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.You will be provided with excellent training and supported in your development as an independent researcher.
