Dr. Liu Quan’s laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a qualified person for one post-doctoral research fellow position in the field of biomedical optics. This laboratory focuses on the development of novel biomedical optics/biophotonics technology for medical diagnostics. The successful candidate will be involved in developing optical imaging techniques in clinical applications. The candidate should have hand-on experience in biomedical optics or applied optics. The salary will be determined in accordance with NTU’s policy. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended depending upon mutual interests. This grant provides support for graduate students conducting psychological science research studies

The intent is to fund psychology graduate students in science oriented fields. Students in fields with a practice component (e.g. clinical, counseling, and school) are not eligible. Students in the following fields are eligible: Cognitive, Cognitive Neuroscience, Computational, Developmental, Experimental or Comparative, Industrial/Organizational, Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Perception and Psychophysics, Personality and Individual Differences, Psycholinguistics, Physiological, Quantitative, Social.

Funds for this $1000 scholarship must be used to support the proposed research. This grant may be used for thesis, dissertation, or other research.

Essential Qualifications:

  • M.Sc Zoology with Neurobiology as specialization

THAPAR UNIVERSITY INVITES PhD APPLICATONS FROM B.TECH STUDENTS ALSO…. LAST DATE 12 DECEMBER 2010

FOR B.TECH STUDENTS

Candidates with BE/BTech degree or equivalent with excellent
academic record (minimum CGPA of 9.00 on 10 point scale or
80%  marks  in  aggregate)  may  be  considered  for  direct
admission.

Relaxation  in CGPA  to 7.00 on a 10-point scale or  in marks  to
65% for the minimum eligibility conditions may be permitted for
candidates with a BE / BTech degree or equivalent who have a
minimum of 3 years of professional and/or research experience
in  the  area  in  which  the  admission  is  sought.  However,
candidates admitted with BE/BTech or equivalent qualification
will  be  admitted  for  PhD after  successful  completion  of  eight
Masters  level  courses  as  suggested  by  the  PhD  Admission
Committee of concerned Department/School, within a period of
two  years  from  the  date  of  admission.  A minimum  CGPA  of
6.00  on  a  10-point  scale  should  be  earned  in  the  courses
prescribed by the concerned Department/School.
