I have generalised a few set of rules with which you can decide that how you should approach for a PhD abroad. Actually the thing is that Biomedical is a quite growing field if you will see the prospective of going abroad n studying there. Biomedical encompasses so many sub fields that it becomes very difficult for the students to choose the schools for themselves.
Here is where most of us make mistake.
THE GOLDEN RULE IS…..
The golden rule to enroll for a PhD program is that you must go for your area of interest and that matters particularly when are you enrolling for a PhD programme. There are many professors around the world who were working on various specialised areas. Choosing the area and hence forth the professor is also very important.
Even if you have got great minds but you are not able to adjust with your professors abroad then it becomes a problem so you should look into this matter very carefully as you are there all alone for research just under your guide!
These things involve many personal matters also so it is required that you must choose the school for your PhD on your own after extensive research in the related field.
READ THE RULES CAREFULLY
Having someone select schools for PhD is totally wrong and that’s not something I advocate here
- You have decided to study in USA – Good
- You want to do Masters – Great
- You want to do PhD – Awesome (greater)
Doing PhD comes with greater responsibility, which means you approach toward university selection should be totally different. Follow these instructions simply.
PhD Rules
- Never ask anyone to select universities for PhD
- Don’t apply to university without getting reply from a professor
- Read Rule #2 Again.
- Don’t apply for PhD because you are can get a job
- Don’t apply for PhD because you can get higher salary
- Don’t apply for PhD if you don’t know what is Research
If you cannot do research on universities, professors, programs to select universities for PhD, how are you going to do your actual research work for PhD?
Did you know about 50% of students who start PhD, drop out from the program in mid-way?
COMMENTS ARE WELCOME SOON I WILL BE ADDING SOME MORE FACTS AND DETAILS REGARDING THIS RESPECT
