About TriMedx
Since 1998, TriMedx has helped more than 1,200 U.S. hospitals increase the life, uptime and performance of their medical equipment, while reducing needless expenses. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, TriMedx is an affiliate of Ascension Health, the largest Catholic not-for profit health system in the United States, and a premier provider of healthcare technology management. Having extended its services to India, TriMedx now delivers the same benefits, efficiencies , and the world’s best practices in Biomedical Engineering to a growing number of healthcare providers across India .
About the Program
To respond to the urgent and unmet need of bio-medical engineering capability in thousands of hospitals and nursing homes across the country specially in the category II & III cities and towns, TriMedx – a specialized firm serving in the domain of management and Maintenance of bio-medical equipment, has partnered with leading medical and engineering institutions of the country to roll out a structured program on Biomedical engineering hands-on training. The target audience of this program would be engineers working in hospitals .The course provider would be TriMedx and the host for the training which would be conducted once in 3 months in sequential pattern across institutions would be – PGIMER (Chandigarh), , HTIC-IIT (Madras), Narayana Health (Bangalore),National Health Systems Resource Centre ( New Delhi ) .
This program envisages the possibility of bringing hands-on knowledge of specialized medical equipment to engineers thereby aiming to improve safety in patient care and reduction in down-time of medical equipment, thus improving accessibility. The program originates with the understanding that engineers working in small to medium size hospitals especially in tier II towns and below, would not be able to go in for an extensive biomedical engineering training that would require years of study as well as investment in hundreds of thousands of rupees. Hence, this program aims to provide highly focused, low cost and formally structured training by disaggregating the training program into equipment pertaining to various clinical specialties.
