The inaugural edition of Bio Spectra, conducted on 2nd and 3rd April 2012 was the ideal way of a biomedical symposium to get underway. Students from colleges all over the state participated in various enthralling events like presentations, quizzes, and other technical competitions. Non-technical events attracted participation from other disciplines as well. Bio Spectra 2012 also witnessed guest lectures by eminent personalities from the industry. The highlight event of Bio Spectra was the Cancer Summit where distinguished doctors and professors enlightened students of medicine and engineering.
This hands on workshop aims at providing basic knowledge of MATLAB and its application for Medical Digital Image Processing used for research. This custom course outline created especially for ramping up the students of Biomedical Engineering.
Objective
This course provides an aggressively gentle introduction to MATLAB®. It is designed to give students / Participants fluency in MATLAB, including popular toolboxes. The course consists of interactive lectures with students/participants solving sample MATLAB problems. Problem-based MATLAB assignments are given which require significant time on MATLAB.

VIT University organizes a two day workshop on Labview for Biomedical Engineers on 22nd and 23rd march 2013, Limited no of seats are available register now
For Biomedical Engineers
About Workshop
Today, virtual instrumentation has reached mainstream acceptance and is used in thousands of applications in industries from automotive to consumer electronics, Bio-Medical etc.
LabVIEW is a powerful graphical development environment for signal acquisition, measurement analysis, and data presentation, giving the flexibility of a programming language without the complexity of traditional development tools. It is an Enabling industry leading software tool
The advent of accurate, less invasive and faster devices, the bio-medical image processing techniques has been
undergoing a revolution in the past decade. This workshop will demonstrate the impact of hybridization of hypergraph
based techniques applied on the fundamental medical image processing problem viz., image pre-processing,
enhancement, registrations & segmentation techniques.
Objective of Workshop
To focus the recent advances and to provide up-to-date information about bio-medical imaging modalities like
image acquisition, display, processing, analysis and perception.
To explore the possibility of hybridizing the hypergraph based techniques in bio-medical image processing
