The Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in Bioengineering and/ or Biomedical Engineering.
Created in the spring of 2010, the Department of Bioengineering is a key component of UTD’s growth strategy. The successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to shape this nascent department. Of particular interest are candidates whose research interests span one or more of the following areas: biomedical devices, systems biology, computational biology, imaging, medical robotics, including surgical robots, and neurosciences.

1. Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
2. Can advise on the planning, acquisition, and use of medical equipment.

Expertise in methods and technologies for signal analysis using signal processing and pattern recognition techniques with particular focus on biomedical signals

• Implementation of proposed methods to demonstrate proof of concept
