About the conference

Following the previous 10 successful International Conference on Information Technology and Applications in Biomedicine (ITAB), this conference series will be launched with the new title of IEEE-EMBS International Conferences on BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATICS (BHI) started from this year. The BHI2012 will be held in Hong Kong / Shenzhen during 5-7 Jan. 2012.

PhD in Biomedical Image Analysis in Netherlands

The Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam ( www.bigr.nl ) of the Departments of Medical Informatics and Radiology of the Erasmus MC – University Medical Center Rotterdam in the Netherlands is looking for candidates for PhD Projects in Biomedical Image Analysis. PostDoc and Scientific Programmer positions are also available.

Description

4 PhD-Student Projects in Biomedical Image Analysis: 1. BioStress: Assessment of Biomechanical Stress on Atherosclerotic Plaques 2. 4D Ultrasound for improved image guidance 3. Computer aided image guidance for Percutaneous Treatment of Coronary Chronic Total Occlusions 4. Mediate: Patient Friendly Medical Interventions. On this project positions are also available for a postdoc and a scientific programmer. BIOSTEC 2012:5TH International Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems & Technology

 

The purpose of BIOSTEC is to bring together researchers and practitioners, including engineers, biologists, health professionals and informatics/computer scientists, interested in both theoretical advances and applications of information systems, artificial intelligence, signal processing, electronics and other engineering tools in knowledge areas related to biology and medicine.
BIOSTEC is composed of four co-located conferences, each specialized in at least one of the aforementioned main knowledge areas.
