Workshop
INTRODUCTION TO BIO-MEDICAL INFORMATICS
April 27 – 30, 2011
Bio-Medical Informatics Centre (ICMR), Department of Biophysics,
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi – 110029
Bio-Medical informatics is a newly emerging interdisciplinary field that integrates medicine, biology, and information technology. This workshop is the starting point for hands-on instruction in the use of software tools for genomic and drug discovery. The workshop will focus on the basics of protein structures, molecular modeling and receptor-ligand docking techniques in addition to sequence alignment tools and databases. More emphasis will be given to hands on training and practical exercises.
The workshop is fully supported by ICMR. There will be no course fee. However, the selected students will have to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Preference will be given to applicants from in and around Delhi and to those who can use these tools in their research work. A maximum of 25 participants will be selected.
This is a preview of Workshop On Biomedical Informatics in AIIMS, New Delhi.
