Job Description

Major Responsibilities :

1. Conduct training to distributor employees/customer on analysers.

2. Carry out demonstration on products (instruments, reagents and services).

3. Trouble shoot both reagents and instruments problems.

4. Training to customers on our products and services.

5. Carry out refresher trainings periodically to distributor staff /customers.

6. Joint working with distributor staff.

7. Carry out product promotion activities for reagents, controls.

8. Provide technical inputs to sales team.

9. Follow the SOP for training protocols.

10. Evaluate training conducted with the customers.

National Workshop on “ICT Applications in Healthcare”

Introduction

The workshop aims to discuss the various ways and means by which information and communication technology can be applied in health care sector so that selective diagnosis, emergency and long-term clinical care can be provided to people. It can also help to produce new clinical decision support systems which can aid the physician. This workshop will explore the possibility of reducing the cost & complexity involved in healthcare practice thereby benefiting healthcare professionals and ultimately aims to provide quality healthcare to people at a lesser cost. GE Healthcare India Expands R&D team in India

GE Healthcare is planning to increase its workforce by about 10% in India by the end of this year, as it looks to strengthen in-country research. According to Press Trust of India, Terri Bresenham, President and CEO, GE Healthcare South Asia, revealed these plans at the recent launch of its flagship electronic remote monitoring programme, CritiNext, at Delhi. She said that they will be adding 400 personnel to their current strength of 4000 employees in India by the end of this year.

Indo-Canadian Collaboration for Medical Imaging R&D

Scientists from India and Canada are collaborating on the development of a new imaging technology focussed on brain tumours. The bilateral project—Improving the Detection, Diagnosis and Treatment of Brain Tumours—is valued at almost US$1.7 million and aims to develop and commercialise software that will provide radiologists with enhanced automated imaging methods to detect and characterise brain tumours and enable accelerated assessment and treatment.

Leveraging $486,000 from ISTP Canada and additional funding from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) in India, the team is tasked with creating a new imaging technology that automatically locates, maps and monitors tumour changes and combines MRI and PET image data into a single information-rich diagnostic tool.
