4 PhD-Student Projects in Biomedical Image Analysis: 1. BioStress: Assessment of Biomechanical Stress on Atherosclerotic Plaques 2. 4D Ultrasound for improved image guidance 3. Computer aided image guidance for Percutaneous Treatment of Coronary Chronic Total Occlusions 4. Mediate: Patient Friendly Medical Interventions. On this project positions are also available for a postdoc and a scientific programmer. Candidate must be computer literate and prior knowledge of electrophysiology and neurosensory testing will be an added advantage.
The research project is for a period of 3 years. The candidate will be required to perform the following:
a) Clinical charting of leprosy patients
b) Perform electrophysiological and neurosensory tests on leprosy patients.
The purpose of BIOSTEC is to bring together researchers and practitioners, including engineers, biologists, health professionals and informatics/computer scientists, interested in both theoretical advances and applications of information systems, artificial intelligence, signal processing, electronics and other engineering tools in knowledge areas related to biology and medicine.
BIOSTEC is composed of four co-located conferences, each specialized in at least one of the aforementioned main knowledge areas.
