When we talk about NASA, it’s not always the nation’s civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research. Yes, the recent launch of NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover has been phenomenal. People often argue, what has NASA actually done for us? Sending robots to other planets and controlling from Earth doesn’t give me anything. Is that what you think? (Ok. May be not). So, I came across some answers to this question and found details about the technologies and innovations that have emerged out of research and development at NASA. Here are the contributions in the healthcare field:
BLAZE has set its goal in expanding its vast arena and wisdom in generating, executing and imparting ideas relating technology and medical field. Synapsis’13 is designed for acknowledgment of technological enhancements in the healthcare sector. Seminar sessions by experienced personnel’s, paper presentations, workshops, and interactive sessions will bring into lime light our goals and achievements.

VIGNYAN ‘13 is a two day National Design Contest on Biomedical Innovations.
About VIGNYAN
The objective of this event is to identify and recognize innovative ideas on biomedical technology developed by intellectual and scholarly student teams.This event also provides a novel platform for other spectators to enlighten themselves with the recent and upcoming innovations in the field of medicine and healthcare. Also, we will be having amidst us eminent researchers in the field of Biomedical Sciences who could guide and provide latest knowledge to our participants.

Technical:
~ Design Presentation.
~ Poster Presentation.
~ Biopedia (Quiz).
~ Circuit debugging.
~ MATLAB/ LabVIEW.
The National Hub for Healthcare Instrumentation Development (NHHID) is funded by the Department of Science and Technology for carrying out mission-oriented projects related to healthcare instrumentation development, invites application for the following posts. Candidates who have passion for indigenous development of healthcare instrumentation should submit their CVs on or before 29.10.2012 along with brief write up of project work and a copy of experience certificates to the
respective project coordinators by e-mail or through post.
The short listed candidates will be called for an interview after scrutiny of the applications. The actual date and time of interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates in due course by email only.
