Workshop on Advances in Computational neuroscience

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, Meghalaya is organising Workshop on ‘ADVANCES IN COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE’ from 24th March to 29th March by Initiatives on Neuro-informatics Computational Neuroscience Education (INCNE), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in collaboration with National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Gurgaon, Manesar, Haryana.

Computational neuroscience (CNS) is a frontier area, challenging scientists from computing, biosciences and engineering. This is a first of its kind workshop in North- Eastern India and the area needs much development in the country. Faculty of NEHU, the pioneering central university (since 1973) in the region, has teamed with similar faculty of premier institutions in the area, as IIT-Guwahati, Assam Central University, Tezpur University and North-East Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS)-Shillong, to marshal this workshop as they have rich and relevant expertise. The Workshop aims to provide educational/research exposure to young scientists from multidisciplinary fields in this domain.

HTIC Innovation Fellowships 2014-2015
