The Biomedical Engineering program of the Federal University of ABC (UFABC, http://www.ufabc.edu.br/) has two open faculty positions in “Metallic Biomaterials” and “Instrumentation and Biomedical/biomechanical systems for rehabilitation”.
The candidate must hold a PhD degree in a related area.

Medical Imaging is a technique and process used to create images of the human body for clinical purposes or medical procedures seeking to reveal, diagnose or examine diseases which includes the study of anatomy and physiology. The seminar aims to throw open a wide range of problems in the field of medical imaging. This is organized to motivate individuals to pursue research in medical imaging. It also aims to improve the quality of research done in the field of medical imaging by getting ideas from experts in this field. We hope this two day National seminar sponsored by council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) New delhi will eventually lead to many research publications which may be used by the physicians for better diagnosis & therapy, thereby ultimately improving the health status of India.
To provide remote-access to Labs in various disciplines of Science and Engineering. These Virtual Labs would cater to students at the undergraduate level, post graduate level as well as to research scholars.
To enthuse students to conduct experiments by the arousing their curiosity. This would help them in learning basic and advanced concepts through remote experimentation.
To provide a complete Learning Management System around the Virtual Labs where the students can avail the various tools for learning, including additional web-resources, video-lectures, animated demonstrations and self evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have a 1st Class Honours degree in a relevant scientific discipline in the chemical or physical sciences, which included electroanalytical chemistry or electrocatalytic materials science as part of the degree programme, or have a Masters qualification in one of these areas.
The candidate must also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
