The hospital industry is an important component of the value chain in Indian Healthcare industry rendering services and recognized as healthcare delivery segment of the healthcare industry, which is growing at an annual rate of 15%. According to a WHO report, India needs to add in excess of 80,000 hospital beds each year for the next 5 years to meet the demands of its growing population. Rising incomes and a growing elderly population are all factors that have triggered the demand for high-quality medical care, transforming the healthcare delivery sector into a profitable industry. In addition, changing demographics, disease profiles and the shift from chronic to lifestyle diseases in the country has led to increased spending on healthcare delivery.
Job Description: Coordinating with doctors and health care professional in planning, designing, development, acquiring and advanced technology implementations and functioning of Bio-Medical equipment. Conducting case study on Engineering based faults analysis, energy conservation. Coordinating with company servicing engineers in installation, servicing and negotiating in acquiring new technology and equipments. Implementing and adhering to all norms and standards of National and International Organization on Clinical engineering. Repairing, servicing, trouble shooting of all hospitals based equipments and taking care of all the engineering aspects of hospital. Planning, performing planned preventive maintenance, testing, calibrating and verification of all equipments. Attending break down calls, technical crisis/emergency. Educating by taking regular classes to nurses, other allied healthcare professionals on hospital engineering, safety and creating awareness on norms. Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Maintaining operator & service manual Data book maintenance,
Installation report and installation record maintenance,
Testing equipment and tools maintenance,
Updating the new equipment details in the comp.
Perform a vairety of routine & complex tasks associated with the installation & maintenence of biomedical equipments.
Provide the first hand support during the equipment breakdown or whatever needed by the user dept.
Document the introduction of new therapeutic & diagnostic equipment, corrective & preventive maintainance actions & special request as required.
Serve as a resourse to Hospital employees in the proper operation & maintainence of medical equipment.
Assist dept heads in capital equipment planning; assist in identifying & recommending replacement of equipments which is obsolate , has extensive history or has identified safety issues, etc.
