Basic eligibility criteria

Only those who are NOT citizens of India are eligible to apply for admission through this mechanism. Indian citizens i.e. those holding an Indian passport (whether residing in India or abroad) need to apply through the the regular admission process.

AICTE creates havoc with Common Final year Engineering Projects Portal

All the engineering students,dont think of scraping through your final year by plagiarizing a project.The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will soon open a web portal where all students will be mandated to upload abstracts of their project.
Addressing engineering teachers and principals at the inauguration of chief innovation officer (CIO) bootcamp,AICTE chairman S S Mantha said the website,which will start functioning in a months time,will be applicable to graduate,post-graduate and doctoral fellows across the country.
Access to the website will be free.It will not only index research and create a live database but also provide an opportunity for students to promote a culture of research.There is no innovation in the current research scenario, he said,criticizing what he called the copy-paste method.
Citing the importance of industry exposure,Mantha said not only students but teachers and professors in engineering colleges too must periodically get back to the industry to remain current.CIO Bootcamp,held on the birth anniversary of engineer M Visvesvaraya,aims to unleash the innovative spirit in VTUaffiliated colleges.

Applications are invited for Research Internships at IITB (2011-12)

IITB Research Internship Award is designed to be an educational and professional research experience. These awards are available for specific research projects. The details of these projects are made available to the candidates so that they can apply for projects of their interest and can prepare themselves well for a rigorous selection procedure. The number of interns will be restricted to the number of projects available. The selected interns are required to work full time for four to six months on the project and will be given a fixed stipend of  Rs. 10,000/- per month. Accommodation may be provided subject to availability.

Post Graduate Diploma in Biomedical Ethics in Pakistan

The Center of Biomedical Ethics and Culture (CBEC) of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has invited applications for its one year Postgraduate Diploma Program (PGD), session 2012.

Applications could be despatched by September 10. Academic year for the year long PGD program in Biomedical Ethics will commence in January 2012. CBEC has been running this program since 2006.

CBEC has also invited applications for Masters in Bioethics (MBE) program, Class of 2013. It was in 2010 that this two year long program was initiated by the center.
